My First Ever WordCamp Birmingham
I’m Gonna Be One Bloggin’ Dynamo
I thought I was going to miss WordCamp Birmingham. Willesha Morris put out a call for panelist a few weeks ago and I think I was among the first to answer the call. By the time it took her to get back with us (which wasn’t long at all), I had made other plans. But the stars somehow aligned in my favor and my plans got cancelled. So what did I do? Naturally I went straight to the WordCamp Birmingham website to line up my WordCamp itinerary. Willesha had already secured panelist, but I was lucky enough to get on the volunteer list and I’ll be at the registration table for the 9:50 am session, so look for this face in the place.

What’s Up at WordCamp Birmingham?
I’ll be able to hear the Blogging With WordPress Panel (moderated by Willesha) , but I’m assuming that’ll be the registration table that I’m working. Oh and the panel consist of Wade Kwon and Chanda Temple, the Who’s Who of Birmingham blogging.
After my stint at the registration table, I’m torn between attending the 10:40 session of Drive Blog Traffic without Driving Yourself Nuts or SEO Workshop: Best Practices for Better Website Traffic and Leads. What to do? What to do? Well I figure anyway that I look at it, I can’t go wrong no matter which one I chose.
And course you can’t go to a WordCamp without attending a session head by The Wade Kwon, so at 11:30, I’ll be at The Super Easy Guide to Video for Content Marketing for sure.
My grandson Tristan has a football came later in the day so I’ll have to get out of there on time or I’m in trouble. Unfortunately that means I won’t be able to stay at WordCamp Birmingham until the end. But before I head out of there, I wouldn’t dare miss Keynote: Don’t Create For WordPress* (*Create With WordPress) and I gotta hunt down Tom Horn from the Birmingham Appraisal Blog. You see, I’m a Realtor® and Tom Horn is a fellow real estate industry blogger and although we’ve communicated online and supported each other’s blogs, we have never met and I know he’s going to be there.
Oh and about the face, I’m a master of disguises so if you dont’ see the face above, look for one of these:
