Hope Is Alive
Keep Hope Alive
These words, Keep Hope Alive, were made popular by the Reverend Jessie Jackson, Jr. Rev. Jackson’s presence and credibility may have diminished over the years, but thank goodness the phrase “Keep Hope Alive” has not.
Every now and then, I run across someone that has apparently given up hope or I run across someone, or in this case an article about a man named Ralph Garth that polarize the very meaning of hope.
In the case where someone has given up hope, I wonder if they really realize that it means doom is imminent where the “hopeless” situation is concerned. I wonder if they realize that all hope is never loss, but often times the thing hoped for is just delayed. I wonder if they know that a ray or a glimmer of hope is better than none at all.
In the case of Mr. Garth, I am sure that somebody or even most that knew him, had given up hope that he’d ever be anything more than a drug addict. I don’t know this man, but his story is one of hope and encouragement.
I continue to believe in people and believe that anything is possible that’s why I write this Renew Refresh Reset blog. I HOPE that anyone reading this blog that may feel like they have given up hope on something, will have a Renewed Refreshed outlook and hit the “Reset” button on Hope. As long as you have breath in your body, there continues to be hope for something, whether instant or delayed, it’s worth it to keep hope alive.
I live and breathe by the following words: “Every day presents another opportunity to hit the reset button on my life.” This is and my family is what keeps hope alive in me.
